My first new car, a 202)honda fit, (I am 60) continually locks me out. No one in Peters or the national consumer line can help. MY CAR LOCKS ME OUT OF IT AN NO ONE CAN FIX IT! What garbage.....at least I am stuck with it. 13 calls later, no better off. I will never buy another HOnda or deal with Peters

Misleading Misleading

Had a scheduled service appointment set up and the next day we get a email from Peters saying they want to buy back our 2017 Accord. They will look at it when its being serviced. They come back to us offering a very low ball offer and say it has a carfax against it. Trim was repaired the year before on the car but they used the carfax as a tool. Spoke to the Ops manager and they did not seem to care. Be very careful dealing with Peters there is no integrity.

Wish I had a better experience

I wish that I had a better experience, but such is not the case. Long story, short: many unreturned phone calls, untrustworthy business practice, and inconsistent financial practice has led me to disregard Peters of Nashua until I know these concerns have been addressed and resolved. I had a long chase that lasted 5 months in order to receive a refund (while I paid interest). Hence the equivalent of 1 star. ps - My salesman was nice, but not worth a 5 month hassle.

Update - The Operations Director assured me that he will work to resolve the communications concerns that led to my financial issue. He apologized for the mistakes. I appreciate these efforts.

3 failed repair attempts and wants $1000 for a 4th try.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Peters Of Nashua - 3 failed repair attempts and wants $1000 for a 4th try.
3 failed attempts to repair the same problem in 3 days and, now as they ask for a 4th attempt, they originally asked $1000 for it, and made me the ever generous offer of only $609 for the parts to try for the 4th time to repair the same problem. Let me tell you about the adventure through ***, otherwise known as Peters Honda of Nashua. After a few days of having a squeeking belt and a slight knock, I decided that the issue required immediate looking into because the worst thing that could happen is the belt to go while on the way to work and be broken down on the road. Monday morning bright and early at 7am, I brought it to Peters. They informed me that they could look at it right away, that it would be $110 to look at it, refundable if I had the work performed they recommend. I agreed and they took a look at it. They informed me that the squeeky belt and knocking were a bad belt tensioner and air conditioner clutch, and their recommendation was to replace them as well as the belt. They wanted $868 for the job. If you shop around, this is about $150-200 more than the average price of the garages surrounding this dealership, but they were willing to give me a loaner car at no cost which has a value of about $35 and I wanted it done right, so I paid the dealership rate. What a terrible mistake. They called me up to say they had completed the repairs and I could pick it up. I did so at 6pm, drove 3 miles home, and the squeek was back. I opened my hood to find that the belt was partially out of the channel. I tried to call them but they wouldn't answer the phone, so I immediately drove over there at risk of the belt coming off. They looked at it, said it must have jumped a tooth and they reseated it, tensioned it, and said everything was fixed and fine. I left with it. This time I made it about 20 miles and it was still in the channel, which inspired some confidence in their job. But it still had this kind of high pitch whistling that had me concerned. I assumed that it could be the belt was over-tightened and would stretch a bit and then the whistling would stop. On the way to work, about 10 miles in the sound stopped for a brief 15 seconds during which I was quite pleased, right before the severe knocking sound started and I pulled over immediately to find that my belt had come off and started shredding. I was broken down on the side of route 2, and not able to get to work. I called them, furious, and had them tow it back. They gave me another loaner and sent me on my way. They called me later to tell me that the tensioner they installed, and checked when it didn't work, and checked now that it had been towed into garage, was in fact faulty and doesn't function. They were going to replace it but due to the part needing to come from another state it would take a day. They called me on Wednesday to tell their third attempt to fix it was complete and it was good to go! So there I am, Wednesday after work, picking up my car. I turn it on, and it sounds like ***. High pitch whistling, knocking, and turning on the A/C causes it to switch a bizarre sound pattern that is hard to describe. Back in I went to the mechanic to tell them that hey, the car isn't fixed and they need to look at it. After two of them look at it, they confirmed that the car isn't supposed to be making that awful sound and they would hang onto it. This morning I get a call after they have had time to figure out how they want to approach asking for their 4th attempt to repair it. They say it was more than the clutch on the A/C that is bad and it would be another $1000 to finish the job. Now, this is about $400 more than local garages in the area. I ask to speak to the general manager and I'm told he's out until Monday. I ask to speak to his boss or backup. Apparently that person quit this month and they hadn't found a replacement. Eventually I give up and say we'll discuss it later. They call back to say their CEO has offered to cover the labor and only charge $609. I'm beyond furious. If you want to experience ***, try this place out.

Took my car here for an inspection, quick and easy. But they managed to rummage through my entire car, stealing my medication, personal belongings, and god knows what else. I didn’t think people still did that and I had just gotten back from a funeral. Car was packed. Pretty bummed out. They clearly needed it more than I did.

Ask American Honda how dreadful these people are

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The sheer arrogance, the chutzpah of these people, such that even after American Honda (the parent company of the manufacturer) intervened and called the General Manager AND the sales manager, they still didn't follow up and resolve matters. Whatever you do, do not, do not, do not do business with these people. So what happened? We leased a vehicle from them. They delivered it with plates that expired within weeks (ie not new plates, but ones that they transferred from another vehicle). What else? Wait for it...they delivered the car without a state inspection. Of course we had no idea until we were pulled over by the cops who noticed there was no sticker. Horrified? The cops were, as were American Honda. We called Peters. Three times and not once did the GM or the SM call back. So we called American Honda Customer Service, who called Peters to resolve this matter. Of course Peters took their time to return American Honda's calls. They told American Honda that they were at fault and they would call us. And as of today? Nothing. Zero. Zilch. American Honda called them and they said they would call us? Did they? Of course not. So back to American Honda it is next week to pursue this matter.

BUYER BEWARE.

The car buying experience was quick and easy.....but once you sign on the dotted line, forget about it. It's as if you never existed.

Anything you need from them after they have your money is a nightmare. The sales managers don't pick up their phones, check their voicemails or return calls. The salespeople don't do what you ask and when they say they will, they just forget. You essentially have to babysit them to get anything accomplished.

When you do finally get a hold of anyone they have "been on vacation". Its a total joke.

Very unprofessional, total lack of organization. Look elsewhere if you want to be a valued AFTER you fork over the dough.

Worst service experience and problem still not solved

I went there with Passenger side cowl being torn / broken and they inspected it and told me they had to replace that and because an animal tried to enter and eaten that up they have to charge me and get a replacement part for that and it will not be covered under warranty or anything and I dropped off my car with them on Wednesday and they told they will fix it end of day but called up Wednesday evening saying it will take one more day for that. I was fine with it and waited for Thursday and still got the same response and I was asked to wait until Friday again for which I obliged and finally they told my vehicle is ready on Monday. I went there and could see a screw guard chipped off with that repair service and have to leave it with them until tuesday. This did not end here. After a week driver side of Cowl broke because of pressure or push caused with replacement of other half of cowl. I took it to them for which they didn't take blame and after little conversation with them they finally obliged that they will get a replacement part and give me a callback and I was never called back. I waited for 3-4 weeks and I went them and visited for which they told they got that part a week or so back and they forgot to give me a call-back. Finally they replaced driver side cowl this time. After a week I noticed that cowls are pushing each other from both sides and a gap started again and I took it to them again for which they told they will be ordering part again and I haven't heard back from them again. This has been happening from June 2016 and looks like there is not an end to this story atleast for now(August 2016) with lot of money to cost and time to waste.

Total liars

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We were told to come in August 1 and they would get us into another car with lower payments. They were told we are rebuilding our credit so it is not the best yet it was not the worst. Well after they pulled our credit for 15 places not only did they bring our score down over 100 points then they said they could not help us. We even showed then the paper he wrote up about 4 months ago showing us what they were going to do for us. After he said he could not help us we showed him the paper HE wrote and he totally denied it. Now that he ruined what we have been working for by getting our credit up, we cannot go anywhere now for a new car until we get it up to where it was. I will NEVER do business with them and I will tell everyone I know and post on all the social media what a scam they are.

HONDA CRV parts price Gouging

Called Peters Honda of Nashua for an O2 Sensor part for my Honda CRV. The emissions light was on and recommended fix is replacement of this part. Specifically, its a Denso 234-**** O2 Sensor available several places on the Web for about $106.00 (check it out). This is the factory installed part for the Honda CRV...not a cheap replacement part. Peter's parts department quoted me $384! (not installed) for this exact Denso part. I've heard of making money on parts but this brings a whole new meaning to ridiculous. I calculate about 275% markup! Fair warning...do your homework folks.

Sold damaged car

I bought my 2012 Honda Accord in late January of 2012 from your salesman Chris Kinata. The specific vehicle I wanted, Black on Black Accord EX-L, was not onsite so they swapped it in from another dealership. Before receiving the vehicle, there was a small dent in the driver's side door. I pointed it out to Chris and he said not to worry that there would be a paintless dent removal person who comes on Thursdays who would fix it. Upon finalizing my paperwork in the finance office, I was given a due bill for the repair. I brought the car in for my first service on the day that the dent guy was supposed to show and apparently he didn’t. The service department did not return my due bill. I found Chris Kinata who brought me to I believe Joe Marino who gave me his signature on a piece of paper saying that the dent was to be fixed at a later date. About six months later, I brought the car and the paperwork from Joe to try to get it fixed at the bump clinic. Peter Josef took the paperwork and told me he would call me back when they could get me in. Several months went buy and I didn't hear from Peter, so I went back into the bump clinic. Peter had a tough time recalling our conversation. However, he called and left a message on Chris Kinata's voicemail and said he would call me in the next week to set up a time to get it fixed. This was last month and I still hadn't heard from Peter Josef. I find it unbelievable that nobody at Peters took ownership of this issue, and considering that it has been ongoing for over 15 months, I feel that I have been more than patient.

Both parties at fault here. By the way, when a car salesman says "not to worry"...start worrying.

I never would of put 10 cents on that car without the dent being fixed first.

You sound like someone looking for a free hand out. Why did you not go there in person after a few weeks?

Now your complaining on here after 15 months. Lol

Disreputable

I Received a call from this dealer telling me that they want me to trade in my 2011 Odyssey lease early because they "need pre-owned vehicles". We discussed pricing, sounded reasonable. I wasted 2 hours at this dealer-different story when I arrived. The quote in person was nothing near what was discussed so I went to another Honda dealer, that I have never been to, and they quoted me a price that is $4500.00 less than Peter's quote. Called Peter's back and asked for the sales manager and sales rep that originally called me. NOBODY returned my calls. Stay away from them! Take your business elsewhere!

Peter's Honda of Nashua are bold face liers

Was told by Joe Andrews over the phone that he would sell me a CR-V EX-L with Navi in white for the price I stated. He told me the only condition was that I go that night to sign the papers. My wife and I left work early to go there. When we got there he said he never agreed to sell me the car for the price we agreed on. He claimed that I could have any other color on the lot for that amount. This was a two day affair trying to get this car to have this happen. Come to find out from taking to other Honda Dealers that there is no way in *** he could sell me the car for the price he agreed to on the phone. Anyone looking to purchase a Honda should stay the *** away from Peter's in Nashua. They tell you whatever they need to and then when push comes to shove they try to sell you their product for MSRP.

Sold me a car that hit a tree

I bought a NEW Honda at Peter's Honda in Nashua NH in 2009. It was a CRV EX. I went to trade it at the same dealership in July of 2012 and was give a very low trade in amount. I keep my cars in excellent condition and have them serviced according to the manual. The salesman brought the Carfax report to me after I assured him that the car had never been in an accident. Checking the date on the report I found that the car was in an accident a month before I bought it while on their lot. I was never told.

SOLD ME A LEMON AND SAYS NOTHING IS WORNG WITH THE CAR

I bought a brand new 2010 car from Peters in Nashua, and a month after having the car i brought it in for some problems, and they told me nothing was wrong with the car. 3 days later brought it back and still nothing wrong with the car. A month later i brought it back for same problems and new ones. They said i had bad Spark plugs, so they changed them. Now remind you spark plugs on a new car going bad at 6,000 miles is unheard of. So now i have my brand new car in there for the forth time and sitting here waiting for my car. I put in a call to all the upper management and corporate office. I still don't' have my car the i want and i bought. It is getting pretty bad that i have to wait for them to do the right thing and get me a new car or take my car apart and fix the problem. and make me a happy customer.

Your car is not a lemon. Parts can be defective at times.

They fixed it and did what a dealer has to do.

Diagnosis can take a little bit. Stop your complaining.
